Mr. Rakesh Sharma Residence

We designed our own residence in Panthaghati Shimla, which is a duplex at third and attic floor. The site was comparatively in a shaded area but had a valley facing front which caused the sunlight to be only on two faces of the building.

Big glear glass windows were placed for maximum direct and indirect sunlight and small windows were placed alongside bed over side tables in certain bedrooms where sunlight could be increased in indoors.

In attic a living area is created which has glass on its three walls and glass panels on roof making it act like a glass house which is specifically designed to tackle the extreme cold in shimla during winters. Interiors have light tones on walls, flooring and ceiling and darker tones on Teak wood work done in cabinets, staircase and tv units.
